Personal Tactics for Goalies

Does anyone here use personal tactics on goalies? Obviously a lot of the stats don't make sense when using it in terms for a goalie but just asking, i'm doing the LA Kings and Quick was a beast the first 5 games all posting wins, then in the 5th game he got injured, was out for about a week but since he has come back he hasn't won a game, is this due to the injury and he's still recovering a bit or am i doing something wrong?

I play my back up Martin Jones most of the time now, he has come up huge for me and he posted three back to back shut outs. Just hoping the goalies stats and who they are actually make a difference and not all play the same because if they did that would suck....

I use safe passing and stay in crease.

defensive and passing sliders all the way to the left and stay in crease.

Cee Bee is right. Do not care if Mike SMith or Martin Brodeur. That is the way it needs to be for success.

This is quite interesting. Have never even thought about my goalie instructions, always had it on default. But the past 2 seasons or so I have been letting in just as many goals but from fewer shots, so might need to be looked into. When you say defensive sliders, you mean setting mentality defensive or other sliders related to defensive play as well?

I only set three things:

The first slider--very defensive
Passsing--very safe
And stay in the crease at the top.

However occasionally I set them to join the rush, berserk and encouraged

Yeah well i was just getting sick of Johnathan Quick letting in 5+ goals every game as that's pretty unrealistic for the type of goalie he is and having our backup play so much better haha.

I set Quick to really aggressive and i noticed in the play by play he made a hit on someone....... :-p
