What gives with teams offering for players, the players accepting the contract and then the team, for no apparent reason 'giving up' on acquiring the player.

Ie Predators offered for FA Lehtera, they agreed to terms, then the Predators in the same day 'gave up on Lehtera'

Also just noticed that they in fact ended up signing him 6 days later.

I've had that happened to me, probably due to maybe the whole they need filled being filled via another signing or something.

Yeah, I just found it really weird in this instance they ended up offering for him again, and going through with the signing.
