Index Error

Hello!
Just bought the game yesterday. Whenever I try to import the roster database an "Index Error" box pops up. The first one says "Unable to find the DB_STAGE_NAME_GROUP_1 Index". I click Ok but the boxes keep popping up with other "Unable to find ___ Index" messages until I have to close the game using the task manager.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which database are you trying to import?
Since EHM:EA is still in early access, and there has been a large amount of work on EHM 2007, the option has been built in to take databases from EHM 2007 to EA. If you downloaded the most recent TBL database, it is ready to start in EHM:EA without any importing.

As Asher asks, which DB are you trying to import? Have you made any changes?
Which game are you using (EHM 2007 or EHM:EA)?
If you're using EHM:EA, what settings have you used in the import_config file?

I tried a few of the recent roster DBs, 7.3 and 7.4c. As long as it's semi-recent then I'm ok with it. Would also like to get the logos and facepacks but rosters are my priority.
I'm using EHM:EA.
The import_config file is where I got confused. I know there is this to help
http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/wiki/inde ... nto_EHM:EA but I still don't understand it. Is there any way to make this simpler? Sorry for my ignorance, I appreciate the help guys.

As it says in the link about the import_config file...
The two essential commands that you must use in the file are:
"START_YEAR" 2014
"DEFAULT_RULE_SET" 2014
The start year can be any year between 1970 and 2014 (i.e. 1970\71 – 2014\15).
The default rule set determines what rules and league structures will be used. This value can be either 2006 (i.e. EHM 2007 rules and structures) or 2014 (i.e. the 2014\15 rules and structures).
You say "I tried a few of the recent roster DBs, 7.3 and 7.4c. As long as it's semi-recent then I'm ok with it" - sounds like you're using a 2014 rule set with older databases. Older databases (databases with a start date before 2014) need to have the default rule set be 2006

Are 7.3 and 7.4c older databases? The Start Year and Default Rule Set are already 2014 in the import_config file. I'd like the most recent rules and rosters. I followed the instructions from the video on how to install EHM:EA rosters and TBL Rosters 7.3 doesn't show up in the drop down menu when I try to start a new game. Is there anything else I need to do that's not in the video?

No 7.3 and 7.4c are not older databases (as they both start in 2014).

So you imported the database first? Before you will see the database as an option to choose when starting anew game you have to first import the database
Is the database in your EHM:EA installation folder? It needs to be so you can import it

Yes I put the database in the database folder. When I try to import the database I get the Index Error that I mentioned in the original post.

Have you made any changes/edits to the database?
If not, then I'm afraid I have no idea why you're having issues...

I don't think that's correct [as Archi noted in the 7.4c announcement, "Although this database is in EHM 2007 format, it can only be used with EHM: Early Access (by using the Import Database function). Instructions on how to install and import the database into EHM: Early Access can be found in the Readme.pdf included in the download"]

Haven't made any changes but also re-downloaded the file and tried again. The import begins then the Index Error dialogue box comes up and I have to close the game. Tried 7.3 to the same result. Bummer. Thanks anyway for the help.

Just now I too re-downloaded the rosters (7.4c) and re-imported the database and started a new game, and everything worked fine for me

Try re-downloading the rosters.
It's not really clear what error you're getting or what version of the game you're using.
