Black and unresponsive screen when exit

Hi,
I have recently started playing EHM and I am experiencing some trouble. The game runs smoothly but when I exit the game my screen immediately turns black and the computer does not respond so I need to do a hard reboot to use the computer again. If someone has experienced this and know how I can fix it I would very much appreciate it.
