EHM The Blue Line

I'm quite new to the game, but I think something might be wrong, as I can't figure out how to proceed. I'm at June 18th, 2016, the date of the NHL Entry draft. However, I cannot go past this date or do anything with the draft. The "Draft" button on the draft screen is greyed out and I can't select it. Is my game bugged out or am I missing a step?

edit: Nevermind, apparently my resolution hid the "go to draft" button at the bottom of the news message.
