My game just updated on steam yesterday and my players have begun being selected to any and all international competitions and playing in those games, including leaving the playoffs to play in the World Championship tournament. Is there any solution to this?

After reading these reports here and at sigames forums I have started a new game re-importing the DB and after 1 year of sim I haven't encountered this bug.
Maybe you can tell us what you exactly did yourself?

Same thing happened to me. Third of my team playing at worlds instead of the playoffs.

No - unemployed.

I'm in 2025 with my NHL team, just fired up the game via Steam and agreed on the update prompt. Post update this immediately happened.

I have picked up the bug in season two.

Hey guys,

I started a new game with the new patch (1.2) and in my second season, something REALLY WEIRD is happening. There is this "European Tour" or something like that happening in november and my players all started to leave the team one by one to play in this tournament (they have this little "int" sign beside their name) so I'm losing a ton of games in the NHL (Coyotes without Hanzal, Michalek, Boedker, Rieber and both goalies....). I'm so annoyed by this and tried to see how this could happen and I can't figure it out. Someone else had this problem or has a solution for this bug (if it's a bug...)?

Yup, it's a bug. Riz is working on it. In European leagues there's generally a break for the Euro Hockey Tour, so it's common for Euro based players to head for the tournament during that time, but for some reason since the latest patch that has started to happen in the NHL as well, even though it shouldn't. I recommend holding off from playing until a fix is made.

The game just patched on Steam to version 1.2.1 and it says it's fixed this issue. I haven't tested it out yet though.

Got past the issue in november (Deutschland cup I think), but players left again for euro hockey tour in december. Anyone else with issues after hotfix?

What team are you (when you say players are leaving...NHL players?)

So I posted this to SI forum (in Nino's thread) if anyone is having same kind of issues:

So I've been having issues with international games after the hotfix. Some details:

- Playing with TBL 7.4 rosters
- I have erased all competition and player histories, renamed NHL teams and some AHL teams and playing with randomized details. No other alterations or teams moves etc.
- First time NHL players left for international play in november 2024 (world cup year).
- After the hotfix I loaded my last save: 5th nov -> players left still for international play, 31st oct -> players still left for international play. Finally my save from 16th sept was ok and I was able to get past deutschland cup in november without NHL players leaving.
- Come december and euro hockey tour NHL players left again despite getting past deutschland cup.
- During regular season with salary cup and roster limitations this causes NHL teams to put their better players on waivers and trading block while trying to put together a playing roster with players unavailable due to international games.

I can post my save game later tonight or this weekend.

Was having similar issue until last hotfix. Seemed to have fixed the issue on my end. Now I have an issue with no background games being played outside of my selected leagues. Kind of a game breaker for me as no players can develop if they aren't playing.

Hi, there is a way to edit the data base to avoid the international calls in playoff? i lose almost every playoff 2 or 3 kay players bevouse of this calls. I dont know if that happens in real life also, but i doub it.

There was a hotfix released to address this
At least one other person has noted they still had the problem; you should post and upload your saved game on the SI Bugs Forum http://community.sigames.com/showthread ... ter-hotfix
