EHM The Blue Line

I've been playing with a British 1 team, and I am in the 2022-2023 season. Everything was going fine. The team's finances were not great, but my total salaries are way below budget (around 850,000$ out of 1.5 million). Suddenly, one day, the team says they're in deep financial trouble and are bringing in auditors! When I look at the finances, I find out that they just gave out 10.5 MILLION dollars in bonuses all at once! This is highly irregular. What could have possibly happened?? Can the team go bankrupt?

Sounds like your team hired away some peeps from AIG.

The bonuses happened before the auditors were hired though!

Okay, in the post-season the team was taken over by new owners who cleared the debt and put more money into the budget. Where the heck did they find rich people who are that stupid? Is my new team owner Donald Trump?

So has no one else had this bug? I'd really like to know why it happened and how to prevent it.

I'm afraid I have no save anywhere close to the days before the incident occurred. But thanks for the suggestion. Hopefully it won't reoccur.
