He's basically a shoe-in to win the Calder.

I belive that's shoo-in not shoe-in... but I'd say that Kopitar is the current rookie leader.

I figured I keep your updates going that is 3 goals in 3 games. This kid is unbelieveable. Not only does he score but he has a little nasty streak already mixing it up with some of the opponents D-men. Another thing that I like is that he plays D. He gets in behind his own net to do some work on his side of the ice. I have to say that is what I like about Malkin and Crosby is that they both help out on D.
Youth does rule here with 4 players selected 1st or 2nd overall. Malkin, Crosby, Fleury, and Staal(3 goals all shorthanded and should get 2nd line work with Malone out for 4-6 weeks). That to go with other young players like C. Armstrong, K. Letang, R. Whitney.

4 in 4 with about 6 min left in the third. This 4th goal was a highlight reel goal. Took a long pass from Crosby went around one Devils D-man and then went forhand to make Brodeur drop and then went to the backhand to put the in.

Saw part of that one tonight too; he and Crosby were just plain doin things that few people can or should be able to out there. darn impressive especially considering Malkin has played just a few games in his NHL career. When this kid fills in to his frame he's going to make Rick Nash look slight of build. Pretty scary.

It might be easier to post when he doesnt score a goal.
