Buyouts contracts and editor / updater

I believe one of the recent update, EHM 1.2 saw the implementation of buyout contracts. If this is implemented according to the actual CBA, buying out the contract of a player gives a team a cap hit relief.
When it comes to editing the real roster Databases, is it possible, with the actual editing tools available, to make those buyouts happen and affect the team's salary cap according to the formula for buyouts ?

The only thing I know for sure is that we add buyouts to the teams caphit in the pre-game editor for the TBL roster updates.
I've never touched the saved games editors so no idea if it can be added to saves

Good to know it's possible !
I've been away from playing EHM for a bit and coming back with interest again, mainly to experience the couple most recent patches I did not get to see. I have been playing with the EHM editor as well as the updater for the last day or two and getting a bit familiar with them but don't have the experience to see everything and all that is possible to modify.
Are you in a position to explain how to add buyouts to the teams caphit ?

Well, it is not really buyouts we add. It is the caphit.
In the extra config file of the pre-game editor there is the option to add cap penalties. It is down below the traded draft picks.
You fill in the team and the sum and for what year it counts. for the 2016-17 season you need to write 2016.
You can also add a negative cap penalty, which leads to bonus cap space

Alright I saw the lines where to add the cap hit penalties in the extra config file ! Thks.
Do I have to make the changes before I import the database in the game or can they be made afterwards ? The Pre-game editor opens the TBL Rosters DB (8.2 in this case) in both situations.
Also, is it possible that this editor can't be used anymore to modify certain things like player's attributes (it seems to do nothing).
Also if one wants to have the start year to be 2016, and having this change affect the contracts by removing the 2015-2016 year (having one less year remaining to all actual contracts of all players / staff), is all there is to do is change the start year to 2016 in the database header tab of the EHM 1 editor or is there more changes to be made elsewhere ?
Many thanks again

You need to make the changes before you import the database
The PreGame Editor is only for use with an EHM07 database, and can't open a saved EHM1 game.
If you're using the PreGame Editor and you've gone into steam-steam apps-common-Eastside Hockey Manager-data-database-TBL Rosters v8.2 you're not actually in the imported database; the imported database is actually the single file within the non-imported database folder (TBL Rosters v8.2) called database.db, which the PreGame Editor can't open
IMPORTANT - any changes made to a player using the PreGame Editor automatically erases the player's Player Role! This is because the PreGame Editor was created/coded years before EHM had Player Roles. If you're going to use the PreGame Editor to make player edits, you'll want to reimport the Player Roles of the players you've edited using the Updater before you import your edited database (so you'll need to first export the Player Roles using the Updater before you start editing)

Does it only happens when changing something to a player, won't do anything if modifying anything under the Arenas tab, or clubs for exemple ?
Then does it still happen when modifying
anything under the Staff & players tab, for exemple changing something under the contract details tab or player info tab, or would it only be when modifying under the player attributes tab (or some other spedicif tabs as well) ?

It only happens if you are viewing a player in the Editor and click on the Confirm button on that player's editing screen. So basically do not edit any players.
