EHM 2007 50 goals in 50 games

Has any of you guys managed to score 50 goals in the teams first 50 games with any player? I have a reasonable shot at achieving this with Crosby in my 07/08 season as he has scored 28 in 28 games.

In real life there are only five players who have done this. Maurice Richard, Mike Bossy, Wayne Gretzky, Maroi Lemieux and Brett Hull. 81/82 Gretzky scored 50 goals in 39 games ant that´s just insane.

The official "50 in 50" requires that the goals are scored in the teams 50 first games. Therefor there are som unofficial record holders as Cam Neely and Jari Kurri. Both of them missed some of the first games due to injury.

HE DID IT!

On januari 13th 2008, in Boston vs Clagary, in their 46th game Sid the Kid scored his 50th goal on a rebound from Miika Kiprusoff. Crosby is only the 6th player ever who have achieved the "50 in 50". The game ended 6-4 and besides the goal Crosby also got two assists, and is at the moment on a 8 game point streak. (2, 3, 2, 4, 1, 3, 4, 3).

In the same year, I had Ovechkin scores 50 goals in 51 games and Crosby scoring 71 goals in 70 games. Ovechkin finished the year with 96 goals in 82 games beating Gretzky's record. You can see how Ovechkin was doing in the 13 first games by visiting the image gallery in this site...

Gaah! He missed by one goal but 96 goals total is awesome. How many assists?

52 assists and a total of 148 points...

New record: Ovechkin 52 goals in 39 games. He got a hat trick in the 39th game of the season to clinch the record. Go at the image gallery and take a look at it... Check Crosby too. He got 41 goals in 39 games and he is on pace to get the 50 in 50 too! Just put these 2 on the same line and they gonna score big time...

Had Peter Bondra put in 50 goals in 37 games and Mats Sundin do 50 in 47. Along with James Blake they formed arguably the best line in league history.

Well, the thing is that it´s extremly hard to get these players to your team. In my case it took a cracked skull an a six months absence to get Crosby.

i think thats a good thing. in 05 it was way to easy. i was able to get ovechkin for a first rounder and a couple of mid-level prospects who never turned into anything. i like it when its hard to get a player. just imagine what you would have to give up for ovechkin in real life. you would probably have to give up crosby and malkin to get him.

Yeah but the strange thing is that everyone seem to have Ovechkin AND Crosby in their teams while not playing the Capitals or Penguins.

I'll have to get the specifics when I go back to work this morning, but I beat Gretzky's total goals with Ovechkin and I know he had 50 goals in less than 50 games. I want to say it was in 46 but I can't remember for sure.

In season 2 of the Columbus Challenge, Ovechkin scored 50 goals in 50 games for me. I've got a screen shot. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until he had 52 goals in 48 games. There should really be some sort of news item for this.

i actually have another player then ovechkin or crosby who is looking good. last season i traded alexander perezhogin and adrian aucoin to the trashers for ilya kovalchuk. and he is on fire. i'm in the 09/10 season and so far kovalchuks stats are. 22 GP. 33 goals. 22 assists and 55points. can wait to see what he's season total turns out to be. if he gets injured i'm going to throw my computer out the window.

50 in 42 with none other than Ovechkin. Played on a line with Vyborny and Koivu (fantasy drafted team).

I had a great campaign with the Islanders until the attribute drop in 2011 so i got the new patch and started a new game with Minnesota. Gaborik scored goal #50 and #51 in his 50th game. He´s at the moment at 67 in 67 so we´ll see if he can keep up one goal a game after 82.
