EHM The Blue Line

Playing a save on version 1.4.1 of EHM 1, using the TBL 9.1 Rosters. Playing as Ottawa and their AHL affiliate in Binghamton, trying to be as realistic as possible and they just signed 2015 1st Rounder Colin White (20 years old from Boston College). Date is March 24, 2017, have tried to sign White with Ottawa but the contract won't start until 2017-2018. Unable to offer him a deal with Binghamton, but have been able to sign older college players (22-23 years old), even NHL draftees to AHL deals. Any input on how I could possibly get Colin White into the organization prior to the "transfer date" which is set for June of 2017?

Don't think EHM will let you sign drafted prospects at the end of the NCAA season and let you burn a year of ELC to get them to play at right away (the last few weeks of the NHL/AHL season). It's a bit of a contractual nuance that isn't really an option.

Your options, if you want White to be suiting up for Ottawa in the 2016/17 season are:

1) Sign him at the beginning of the game to a full contract. He will no longer be eligible to play for BC and if he plays in Ottawa, 2016-17 will be logged as his rookie season.
2) Use the EHM Editor and add him to Ottawa in the database (basically doing the same as above but having it built-in to every game you start).

IMO - neither is realistic because despite the fact that he can play a few games at the tail end of this season for Ottawa/B-Sens...the truth is if you had to classify his 2016-17 season, it would be as an NCAA player for BC. His rookie pro season will be 2017-18, despite the handful of games he may appear in this season.

Plus, the config file may be setup to automatically have him sign with Ottawa for the 2017-18 season (reflecting that season being his first full pro season with Ottawa) - in which case in order to implement option 1 above, you would need to edit the config and remove him as a future transfer.
