What attributes are important for HCSirWroom wrote:Hire by their strengths and your needs?AngryDuck97 wrote:Guys, how correctly to choose the coaching staff?
You got the head coach and 5 assistant coaches.
So hire one for goalies, one for d-men and one for forwards at minimum.
Then, I'd usually go for all-round or extra on d-men and forwards.
What I've never quite been sure of is how to distribute the manpower and how to optimize it completely.
Also in regards to skating, conditioning, shooting and technically.
Do young coaches increase their skills?esn2500 wrote:Adaptibility, Determination, and Tactics should be particularly higher for your Head Coach than assistants, while also possessing good coaching attributes. For me, an NHL level coach needs at least 10 in coaching goalies, 15 in coaching forwards and defensemen, 15 each in judging potential and ability,15 in adaptability and determination, and at least 12 in tactics, 12 in discipline, 12 in working with youngsters, 12 in motivating, and 12 in man management.
Of course you're not always going to be able to find a HC that fits those credentials, so at the minimum I'd look for a HC with high determination and adaptibility (15+) while also having decent judging and coaching attributes (10 - 15 on the scale). Working with youngsters should be considered more heavily if you're looking for a new head coach in the CHL and other minor leagues.

Yes, at least some Staff Attributes will change (and I think IIRC that Attribute change/development occurred early in their career, though they may or may not be "young" in terms of age)AngryDuck97 wrote:Do young coaches increase their skills?
