Arizona Coyotes retired numbers

Not sure where else to post this, so I'll post it here. In the next version of the 2017-2018 database, can you unretire all numbers on the Arizona Coyotes? The club never officially retired either Steen's number or Hull's, and now players are being given the #9 and #25 and it's impossible to do so in EHM. The only number that is going to be officially retired will be Shane Doan's after he hangs up his skates; everything else is up for grabs.

Also, I'm sure the research team is aware of the staff updates recently so I'll look for them as the database gets closer to official release.

Thanks for a great product!

The next DB will come out in a while. The put out a BETA to test it but normally it comes out late in autumn or depending on how many people are working on it. If you want to help I think they'll gladly accept it.

I have not seen anyone get to use the honored numbers from the Coyotes.
Please show us the info and then we can un-retire them. Development/rookie camp numbers does not count

Nick Cousins will be wearing the #25 this season. Sam Gagner wore #9 while he was with the team.

I have been a Coyotes STH for 13 years so I'm pretty well aware of what's been going on with the "honored" numbers. Once the Thrashers became the Jets and IceArizona bought the Coyotes from the NHL, the "gentlemen's agreement" surrounding Steen's and Hull's numbers - which were retired before the franchise relocated to Arizona - was mutually terminated. The Ring of Honor at Gila River Arena is not meant as a standard retirement honor like other franchises have - not even for Keith Tkachuk, Teppo Numminen, and Jeremy Roenick, who played for the franchise as Coyotes. Their numbers are officially regarded as "honored," but not "retired."

As I said before, the first number to be officially retired by the Coyotes will be the #19 whenever Shane Doan retires. Until then, the franchise does not have any numbers officially retired.

I have no experience editing EHM databases, but if you ever need details about the Coyotes I'd be happy to oblige.

ETA: I should also mention that the Coyotes and Oilers are not really rivals. If you want to set up the big rivalries for the Coyotes, use, in order: LA Kings, Chicago Blackhawks, and Detroit Red Wings.

It belongs in the TBL Rosters Feedback because you've giving feedback on those rosters.
