EHM The Blue Line

Whenever I try to download a file i get a a message that says: "You can not download this file directly from another site!"

I've tryed in both firefox and internet explorer

I just tried grabbing a few files from our server with no issues; can you say which file you've tried to download that has given you this error? If possible a screenshot of the error would be helpful as well.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I just tried a random face-pack, the titlebar images, and that small trade update and got the same problem as Leafs_fever.

Odd... I tried the new Austria/German facepack and just now the small trade update and all went through fine.

Thanks for the screenie though Tom. What file was that from? Looks like something Archi will have to look into most likely.

The Error is the same as E5150_ca and it hapens on all the files i've tried

I think it was the small trade update, wherever that link leads to is where the error is from.

The error looks like it's to do with the hotlink prevention - this prevents people downloading our files via links on another person's site. E.g. if www.xyz.com linked to a file on our server, you would get that error when you try to download that file.

Were you redirected to the files by another site?

Try downloading the file again. I've made some changes to the settings which might fix it. If that doesn't work, do you have a firewall? A firewall could prevent data being sent to our server and so the server thinks you are trying to download the file from a hotlink.

Could you try downloading these two files:
OHL Background Pack
NHL Trade Update

Can you download one and not the other or do they both work?

I'm afraid I'm away this weekend but I'll get back to you about this on Monday.

Tried both and they work from those links, I then went through the download sections and it works frm there too. Good job.

Dont know if its still interesting, but I just tried also to download something (the German-Austrian facepack) and it worked absolute fine for me....

I´m also having problems downloading some facepacks...it just says:

Not Found The requested URL /downloads/07ScandinavianPicPack.zip was not found on this server.

Have you removed some of the files?

We haven't removed any files, but some files haven't been transitioned from our old server to the new server we switched to recently. We are working on the transition so if any files are giving you errors it's only temporary.

Another facepack link that is broken is the EHM 2007 Default Player Pics: JPG Format under Official Files.

They're all in the same directory that hasn't been moved yet, so they'll all come through when we finish the move but thanks for noting them as we'll double check them later

The site was trasnferred to a new server over the holidays and the admins are working on getting all the old files moved to the new server. It shouldn't be too much longer.

Over Christmas I'd re-uploaded all of our EHM 2005 and 2007 files. These have "magically" disappeared (maybe Octavian has idea how this happened?) so now I have to re-upload them all again. There's over 850mb of files to upload so I can't say how long it's going to take.

You'll notice that our site is running quite slowly at the moment - that's because I'm uploading the files as fast as I can. Sadly the server seems to be a little slower than our older one and so it's likely to take some time. I'll keep you all updated...

I'm guessing that's why I can't download anything from the EHM 2007 section either, just comes up as 'file doesn't exist anymore'

I've just uploaded the final couple of missing files. Now all of our EHM 2005 and 2007 files are back on the server and available for download
