Salary structure of your team?

Hi.
I was wondering how you generally structure your team regarding salaries, i.e. how many key players do you have, how many regulars and so on?
Currently, I'm paying the following players these salaries:
Heatley 6,7 p/a
Pitkänen 5,7 p/a
Morisson 5,2 p/a
Lehtonen 4,8 p/a
Regehr 2,8 p/a
I also have to extend Malkin's and Ryan's contracts this season, and they won't be cheap

So, my question is: how many star/key players do ou usually keep on your roster?

I try to have 4 keyplayers in my team. One of the following LW/C/RW and a defender.

Nah, it doesn't matter who I got in goal, they all suck and with the STAR-AVARAGE STAR-STAR-STAR-firstline I outscore my opponets 8-5 rather than 3-0.
EDIT: Esche is the only goalie which actually was decent and in my Ducks game JSG has had 5-6 shootouts but that's beacuse of my superior defence and not him being good

I like to keep a top goalie (ie. Kiprusoff - 5.2 mil) for as long as I can plus two to three top defenders (Regehr, Phanuef and Derek Morris - 10 mil total). Since the patch came out, the defense actually scores goals, so those three contracts will probably total 60-80 goals per year. Then two top forwards on the wing (Tanguay and Iginla - 12.4 mil). The center just has to be able to pass and skate well and the other two guys will do fine. That might be more key players than the average team has but you can make it work if you draft well and find underrated talent (Trent Hunter, for example, is a great right winger who's dirt cheap).

I like using a very top heavy team, I'll often have 8 or 9 players making under a half million

I like to have at least 2 good scoring lines, being totally top heavy is something only happens with injurys on my teams.
Normally spread out the wages on 9 forwards and trade away players that get too expensive, but ofc there is room for 1 big ufa signing. Ofc this way I cant compete with those who claim they have players with 200+ points in regular season, but Ill have to settle with winning the cup 90 percent of the seasons I have played so far in 2007, cruel cruel world hehe.
