My ECHL affiliate is over their salary cap. They started that way so I have 3 questions.

1) What happens if I release a player? Am I still paying their salary and for how long 1 year or the whole contract?

2) If I sign someone with the flames and then send them down the flames pick up the whole tab not the Las Vegas Wranglers, right?

3) I have my total players at 21 and the dressed players at 17 but when I try to send someone down it says there is no room. What up with that?

1/ if you release a player, you have to pay him at once the rest of his salary. He will no longer count toward the cap, but it's less money for the team. If his salary was more more than one year, you'll pay him the rest of the money he should have received in the current season AND the money for the other seasons.

2/ As the player is under contract with the Flames, the Flames pick up the whole tab, yes. The Wranglers will just have one more player in their roster, as if they received it on a loan offer.

3/ There's a limit to 20 players in the roster in ECHL. So if the Wranglers (in your example) already have 20 players in their roster (their own and the ones you gave them), they can't receive any more player.

Hope that helps :)
