Is it pointless to train a person more on a position if they are at accomplished?

Probably not, but they need to play the position regularly to retain the 'accomplished' rating.

I don't think you can become Natural in a position through training.
Overall, I like this new positional attribute thingy, but I take exception to the fact that everybody has only one Natural position. I'm sure there are e.g. defenders out there who don't have a particular preference for side.

Anyone know if a player who's for example is RW and only RW plays LW for 2 years (or so) can change into LW without training him in the position?

Kris: i don't know, as i haven't tested it, but i don't think it will...

Ask on SI boards, you'll have a better answer on this

Training in a position is an odd thing as to be most effective you have to have them train intensively on the position and nothing else pretty much. If you divide up their training regemine with too many other things they won't make much progress, especially if it's not a position they have any skill in to begin with...
Kris, I think he might pop up to a basic level at LW but I'm not sure

I wouldn't really suggest playing a player out of postion for ayear or two to find out
