Giving up a lot of goals from blueline off faceoffs

I seemd to be giving up a lot of goals from a point shot off a faceoff. I have pretty good faceoff rating. any other way to couteract this? Maybe overload on defensive faceoff to get more traffic in front of the net? But to me seems like that might make it worse with a screen but then again might be more chance for a blocked shot.

You've really got to pick your poison. I used lopsided faceoffs in the defensive zone, and also build my team around hardworking, brave guys, which results in a lot of blocked shots.

Sometimes i allow that kind of goals too... Mainly when i put a goalie who hasn't played for a long time (especially when the season starts). But once my goalies are in shape, i take less goals like those.

I give up a few of these, but I make up for it by scoring more. My Joe Thornton - Ryan Wilson combo is murder on offensive zone face-offs.
