EHM The Blue Line

Hi all,

So I have a question about tactics.

I've read conflicting reports on various sites about which method is best : Setting Unit tactics, or focusing on personal player tactics?

I can see the strengths of both options : with unit tactics you get your whole line playing the same role. Using personal tactics you can customize the style of play to fit the player.

Which method is more popular among the users here at TBL?

Also, I'm hoping to have a big offensive year (trying to break Gretzky's records!) so any offense tactical help would be much appreciated.

I use Unit Tactics to get each line playing to their strengths, and then for my checking lines I also use individual orders to set them to check opposing players for each game.

I play a very defensive 4th line against their 1st line and another 3rd line with two-way players that match up on their 2nd line. I alwyas have my line and defensive pairings set to 'equal'. As I mentioned in the Challenge forum I always aim to score the most goals and allow the least. However, my star players only average about 18-19 minutes a game so I don't post the most gaudy console-hockey like offensive numbers. My Columbus was my most high powered team yet with 341 for and only 241 against for 113 points... which was good enough for me
