EHM The Blue Line

I engaged Archibalduk's editor with my long-running league and while EHM starts, whenever I attempt to load my league it displays the following error message "TRAINING_MANAGER:load_disk(): cannot read schedules" and then CTD. I have used the editor before, without issue, but this time I changed some of the settings without recalling what they were. I have re-installed EHM, but the error remains. Unfortunately if someone tells me to start from my back-up file, my league is toast. Hopefully there is a way to fix it.

Editing saved games is highly inadvisable and can lead to corruption just as you mention. Unfortunately it is almost certainly not possible to fix your saved game; particularly if you do not know what you edited (if you knew then you could try to reverse your edits but that isn't guaranteed to fix it).

My only suggestion would be to revert to a backup if you have one or if you have been using Rolling Saves in EHM (I highly recommend using this option).

Thanks for the quick response. Your editor contains a clear warning, and not backing up is bad practice, so the fault is entirely mine. Just hoping for a quick fix, but not surprised there isn't. Alas, I bid my league farewell.
