EHM 2005 and e-license

I've tried asking this on the SI forums and haven't got a response yet. So, I thought I'd see if anybody here has any thoughts.
I know I've read before about copying the install file, patch and license on a CD so you have a disk copy of EHM 2007, but what about EHM 2005?
The download version of 2005 that I bought through TryMedia gave me an e-mail saying that I could install it 5 separate times and then I'd have to contact them.
I'm concerned now that with EHM no longer being produced that TryMedia will stop supporting the game and I could be out of luck, even before 5 installs, if I ever have to re-install the game.
So, my question is: Are there any particular license and/or setup files in EHM 2005 that I need to copy to a CD to ensure I'll be able to always play it, or should I try to find a boxed CD version of EHM 2005?
Or does the CD version of the game still require online licensing through a company that may stop supporting EHM now that the franchise has stopped?
I know I'll get hooked on 2007 once I start playing it, but I don't want to lose my ability to play EHM 2005. I really enjoy the series and want to be able to play both for years to come.
