These pics were posted on a Red Wings forum. Apparently these were taken in Ann Arbor Michigan, during the lockout after a bunch of Red Wings played the USNTDP team (featuring Jack Johnson/Phil Kessel/Eric Johnson/Skille/Stoa/etc) at Yost in a charity game.

Draper with Kid Rock, you can see Lidstrom in the doorway in the background. The goofy looking guy on the left is rumored to be photoshoped into a lot of pictures.

Draper pretending to be batting

Chelios and Draper

Eric Johnson

Anyone else got pictures like these/

Pretty cool pics. It looks like they're in some kids' apartment or dorm. The NHL guys are looking MUCH older than the rest of the party-goers and I'm guessing Chelios' wife wouldn't be too happy about how cozy he's getting with that jailbait girl. LOL!

Sean Burr lives in our area (former Red Wing) and my Dad is friends with him. Anyways, every now and then Burr will get pics/videos from NHL guys and send them to my dad. Some of the stuff is crazy that the wifes would definitely not like.

Guys....not so sure about posting the photos themselves re bandwidth. I believe they should be put in something like photobucket and then linked to. The big boys could tell you for sure...but my suggestion is to clean em up to links clearly describing what is here....so people know what they are. (IE: Tootoo partying).

Just saying, cause most photos on the site are done that way, not this. :-D

 Jeez, I know better than that, I just wasn't thinking. Sorry guys, I'd clean it up, but I'm past my 15 minutes and now I can't edit them. If the mods wish to delete this thats fine, I can start a new thread with links.

I agree - edited.

A lot easier to read new posts, when it doesn't load a bunch of pictuers every time...

Funny pics, by the way... I wish I could be at that party! 8-)

I'm really kind of surprised to see professional athletes smoking these days. I know the old timers did (I think I remember hearing Phil Esposito or Derek Sanderson talking about how they used to smoke in the locker room between periods) but I just don't expect the modern athlete to smoke.

Not shocked at all. Guys (especially the young ones) do what they are going to do when they party.

That being said..chewing tobacco is all the rage among the pros and semi-pros (juniors included) these days. Take a look around for players with goatees, soul patches etc)....All of em.....likes to take a dip o'chew.

Doing dip or chew doesn't surprise me much. I'm guessing the goatees and soul patches are to cover up chin drippage? I guess modern athletes smoking just surprises me because I expect these guys to be concerned about having good lungs and cardio. Not that I'm pointing fingers at them and calling them bad. I've been struggling to kick the smoking habit for quite a while now. Currently, I'm smoking but I'm planning on another quitting attempt soon.

"Planning an attempt" sounds like you already know it won't work out :D

It does sound a little like that, huh? I guess I phrased it that way because my last couple attempts didn't last. I'll hit period of serious stress (usually either work or family induced) and fall back on it as a coping mechanism. I promised my fiancee that I would quit though. It's definitely got to happen before the wedding next year. Plus, I want to make sure I've quit before we have kids. It's such a bad influence on them. My dad used to smoke but he quit about 25 years ago. It still made an impact though. Plus, it's bad for the kids' health to do it around them.

Eeek! I'm getting way off topic here! Back to the subject at hand. I don't have any pictures of players partying but I've got a bunch of pictures (not scanned yet) of Bruins players interacting with fans at charity events back in the late 80's - early 90's. The Bruins wives run a little charity carnival every year and you pay an admission to get in (same place where the Bruins play) and then pay to play various games at boths run by Bruins players (regular carnival or state fair type games plus some more hockey oriented games). They usually have the biggest stars of the team doing photos. You wait almost the whole session in a line to get your picture taken with the player and have the picture autographed for like $20 or $30, IIRC. Ray Bourque was always on that one, plus some others. The guys running the regular booths would just stop and take pictures with the fans when they played their games. I haven't been to it in years (too busy) but it was a good time and you helped raise money for a good charity (almost always benefiting children).

Hey Bruins..I know the feeling on the quitting smoking thing

The "soul patches" are actually to hide the chunk of chew inside the lip a little. So your bottom lip does not stretch out for a mile.

Photos of Ray Bourque's hairline are always the funniest photos of em all.

Ah! I see now. Hmmmm... I'm guessing Marc Savard is a chew guy with his little soul patch then. And I had always thought that was more of a baseball thing.

What's so funny about Bourque's hairline? By now it must be receding pretty badly. I haven't really seen anything with him lately but I've heard him on the radio (again, he's usually doing some charity and they're promoting it on the radio). He's always saying that he's packed on a lot of pounds since retiring. He was a fitness nut when he was playing but now he golfs and is part owner of an Italian restaurant in Boston. I'm guessing he's not that bad but for him it's a dramatic change.

He looks like he has been wearing a rug since he was 22. Kind of Cro-Mag.

Why is he grabbing the little kid's ass? :-p Or maybe he's not?

Heh. Not a kid Systemfel. It is Gary Coleman (Wikipedia article on him). But maybe you knew that?

Oh, didn't know about him at all, batdad.

:ha!: That is the creepiest picture I've ever seen! How old is that pic? Gary Coleman might've still been a kid then. Was that in the early 80's?
