I just finished doing my import draft and in the players profile it says he wants to play world juniors but he doesn't want to sign because hes very happy with his role at his euro team and is concerned about the difference in language and lifestyle.... Just wondering if there way a way around this

Nope. IF players do not want to come over to a junior team...they will not. And no matter where they play, they can play in the World Juniors.
Most of the time, the players you get to come from Europe to your junior team are marked with "Wants to play Major Junior". If it does not say that, 90% of the time you will not convince them to come and play.

That will happen some times. Actually, it happens alot when they are happy with their situation where they are...

If they stated they want to play Major Juniors but say they don't want to sign with you, you should try to trade their rights. You won't have this superb euro prospect you drafted, but wouldn't have him anyway, so at least you'll have something in return...

I have noticed that players will almost never sign while under contract to a european club.
If you wait until their contract runs out, and they become free-agents, then they will mostly sign.
So only draft guys who "state they want to play Canadien Major Junior" and whos contracts are running out within 1-2 years.

Maybe that's due to the fact there's no CHL release clause like there's a NHL release clause
So maybe (and i say
maybe, because i haven't tested it) you should put the euro players you want to sign on your shortlist, so they know you're interested in them. This way, even if they don't actually want to sign with your team, they maybe won't re-sign for their euro team, and so you could bring them via free agency. Just a supposition though

Some thing that I have noticed is if you want a european guy playing in an european club to join your team, you should invite him to your training camp and approach to sign him while he is there.
That's how I managed to sign Malkin and Lyamin who otherwise didn't want to play for me.

this is a question about CHL Draft but does the Import draft always allow the QMJHL worst team draft first or the worst point team in the CHL draft first?

With the Sarnia challenge going on I have an Import Draft question:
Do we only get one shot at the players, or do they get rolled over to the next year's draft? Thanks in advance

I think they are eligible at least two years. So you don't have to draft a player when he first comes eligible.

I don't think you can re-draft him. If he only was listed with his HAL-rights before game and not listed as drafted, then maybe. I don't know if you can sign him. I have never tried/seen that in the game. IRL, it would work, though

well it lists him as drafted by Halifax but his rights arena owned by any chl team

My question is when it comes to determining the draft selections like whos picking where is it the same leagues with the top picks or does it alter like real life CHL Import draft.

I think it takes their winning percentage and ranks it by that. Seeing as how there are different number of games played in each league.
