I just started a new game using Djurgardens IF of the SEL. I want to loan out some of my players, but am not sure about the contribution percentage. If I want the other team to pay more of the salary should i loan them out at more than 50% or less than 50% of the salary? The wording on the game is confusing.

First of all, welcome to TBL!
If you want the other team to pay most of the salary, you have to ask for
more than 50%.
However, if you used the "offer out on loan" option, you may have some difficulties to find teams who accept to pay most of the salary of your player. Things will be easier if you just have the player status on "available for loan" and a team approach you to loan him.
So most of the time, you will loan out your players for peanuts or absolutely nothing, just sending them away because you don't need them at once and don't have to give them ice time, even in your affiliate team.
On the other side, if you're asking to loan in a player, the other team will be more likely to accept if you propose to pay a part of the salary.
Hope that helps

that's exactly what i was looking for. I've been loaning players out at 50% b/c i didn't want to be on the hook for all of their salaries...
off topic... do you know of anyone who has done any sort of updating on players that were heading into this years draft? it's frustrating seeing Mark Owuya (who as per an NHL contact would have gone in the 2nd round if not for his rap stunts) listed as number 5 of DIF's depth chart behind Nicklas Svedberg who will never be drafted.
