There are some players in the game that there's no face pictures for so I go on the net save the picture and the name it as the player's name and then their birthday and then have it a JPG and its still not showing up in the game and was wondering if I was doing something wrong or something. Thanks

you can just change the name of the card, go to your file where all your pictures are kept, and change the name of the player and the DB, there must be underscores between each section of there name

example : Sidney_Crosby_8_7_1987

You'll see at the top of the Graphics & Game Addons Forum a list of FAQ Threads. There's two that would prove useful for you:

Images / Add Ons For EHM 2007 Guide
All About The .EHG/.PNG Versus .JPG Formatted Player Pics

Always do a Forum Search and have a quick look through the FAQ Lists before asking a question because you'll often find that it has been asked before (as is required by section 2 of the Forum Rules.

I have been trying to create some pictures. Unfortunately, it's not working. I read the threads linked by the previous post, but they were not very helpful.

I followed the naming convention, and sized the images lower than 185x200. Then I reloaded the game and went to the player page. Nothing.

You don't have to reload the game, they will show up when you click on the player profile, even if they weren't there when the game was started and database was loaded.

But as to creating piccies, it really is only a question of correct file name and having the pic in the right folder, nothing more, nothing less. :dunno:

Did you save it as a standard JPG or PNG? What is the exact filename you gave it?

Well, I am trying to make pictures for my UHL players that are not on the packs I"ve already downloaded from here. I started with Colt King, saving the picture in NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007 / data / pictures / players with the following full name, following the convention with all the other pictures on the directory:
Colt_King_3_4_1983.jpg
The image is 159x199 and 8.56K.
I then tried another one:
Kris_Vernarsky_4_5_1982.jpg
The image is 160x190 and 9.17K.
Neither of them are working, but all the images I've extracted from packs are working.

You have the dates wrong way around. They are in the European style: day-month-year, not month-day-year.

Colt_King_4_3_1983 and Kris_Vernarsky_5_4_1982

;)

So the way it is in the program is wrong? Why would they write them one way in the files and another way in the game? That doesn't make much sense.

But it's working!

You guys saved me again. :-D

In the game you can pick date format and other Euro / North America options in the preferences screen, but obviously you can't change the way files are named according to your location. That's why. ;)

Excellent! I will change the date format posthaste.

Why is the correct format called "European" and the stupid one called "North American"? I'm insulted! :-D

Cause 99% of the time North Americans prefer to use the more confusing measurements and formats, we Europeans are more practical (except for the Britts) :-D

Not sure..cause the "CORRECT" format, should be called CANADIAN. :-D

Well I'm Canadian and we use day/month/year.
