I just had a couple questions about my AHL affiliate. First do i need to do anything like roster management, I have noticed that the roster only has about 15 players with only about 12 dressed, this is a week or so after the start of my NHL season. Second, do i need to do anything with the coaching staff of my AHL affiliate, or will they sign their own assistant coaches, physios, etc.
Thanks

If you take control of your AHL affiliate, you have to do everything just like you would your NHL team. You have to fill in the roster, hire staff, and all the rest. If you don't add a GM to allow you to control your affiliate, you can't do anything except assign players there or recall players. A lot of people like to add a GM so they can take control of their affiliate because this allows them to hire better staff, fill in the roster, and make sure their young players get ice time. What they'll usually do after hirings are done and maybe lines are set is they'll have that GM go on vacation so they don't have to deal with the day to day running of the affiliate.

How do you hire a GM for your AHL team?

You can't. AHL teams are separate entities like all other teams, thus, they control themselves.

I guess he meant how to control the AHL affiliate
If that's what you wanna know, you just set the league to extended before you start a game and just add yourself as a GM.
