UHL gone

Don't know how many of you've heard about this, but I found it kind of interesting. Apparently the UHL has broken-up to form the IHL, with a bunch of the teams being added to the AHL and ECHL.

Wow! What a mess. So the league that came from the IHL becomes the IHL again but gets smaller. Wouldn't you think they'd drop the "International" and find another name more fitting for their leauge? If it's a midwest thing, how about a midwest name?

I'd really like to see the NHL control it's minor leagues. Then I'd like to see them try minor league teams in all of these "non-traditional markets" and put the NHL franchises into real hockey cities.

Bah..business is business. This league will die out too. There really is not much room for stuff other than NHL, AHL, ECHL....they will keep the markets that matter and other markets won't be able to survive in other leagues...unless they keep it small and semi-pro or amateur.
