AHL GM- Scouting Questions

Couldn't find the answer to my question anywhere. I was wondering if scouting as an AHL G.M. is important and if so, what leagues I should scout. Thanks for answering all of my noob questions.

ECHL,CHL,UHL, american colleges, LHJMQ, OHL and WHL.
scouting europe is useless for AHL.

You might also wanna think about scouting your NHL affiliate (depending on which farm-team you manage) so that you have a clue about the players that might get demoted to your team.

If you also control your NHL team, scouting (besides your next opponent) is useless.
