Playing On-line: Share you experiences!

So, i've read about this on another thread, but I didn't want to go off-topic.
Basically, what are your experiences on playing on-line? Slow game? Too many cheating? That's what I fear the most, really.
I've never done it, basically out of lack of opportunity, but I guess I'd welcome the chance, if only for the experience.
