EHM The Blue Line

I'm using Windows Vista, EHM07 and the 3.0.4 patch.

It seems somehow my game was deleted. I went to load the game but it didn't load and it didn't show me the saved game info. You know, where it says last saved, date, addictedness rating...

Now, this is the second time this has happened to me...

The most recent time this happened I was in the 06/07 season (in the game). The first time it happened I was in 2009. Not sure if this has happened to any of you at the same point in the game. I'd like to know.

Also, other than backing up the saved game is there any other way I could prevent this from happening or possibly bring my game back to life?

It seems you've had a corrupt save game. It happens from time to time, although I've only had it happen once, compared to your two times, which to me seems quite unlucky. There's nothing really you can do to bring your lost save back, other than trying to get away with as little damage as possible by taking some steps to secure your saves. First of all you should autosave often, like every two weeks, and also use the "Save Safely" option in Preferences. This will create three additional save game files to your original, so that all autosaves will be separate from your main file. This way if one of your saves gets corrupted, you don't have to step too far back to get back to the game. Usually you lose only two weeks of your game, which isn't so bad.
