*** DOWNLOAD VERSION 1.0 NOW ***

A lot of people have been waiting, and here it finally is. LidasDB 1.0. After spending a couple of hours every day since March 1st, I have finally decided to release a first version. There are still a lot of more changes I want to implement, but I’ll save them for later, as the hockey season is starting now, making the urge to start new games stronger.

The database is based on the TBN Updated Unfaking database, released March 1st 2008. This is just a first version, not yet thoroughly tested on all leagues. I will keep updating it, and keep releasing new versions on a regular basis.

So, what has been done? I have chosen not to keep detailed lists documenting all changes; I decided to spend more time on the actual updating process instead of documentation. I can however give you an overview of everything that I have updated:

- NHL rosters, contracts, staff, player rights, and attributes.
- Added rights to players drafted in the NHL 2007 and 2008 Entry drafts + edited their attributes.

- Swedish Elitserien promotions/relegations, rosters, contracts, staff, attributes, and team info.
- Swedish Allsvenskan promotions/relegations, rosters, contracts, staff, attributes, and team info.
- Swedish Junior rosters, staff, and attributes.

- Continental Hockey League (RUS) promotions/relegations, rosters and head coaches.
- Czech Extraliga promotions/relegations, rosters and staff.
- Finnish SM-Liiga rosters, contracts, and staff.
- Danish Oddset League rosters and head coaches.
- Norwegian UPC-League promotions/relegations, rosters, and head coaches.

- AHL league structure, rosters and staff.
- ECHL league structure, rosters and staff.
- NCAA rosters and current/potential abilities.

- Increased the age of ALL players and staff in the database by two years. (44000+)
- All transfers posted at Eurohockey.net since March 1st 2007. (10000+)
- Most changes suggested at the TBN board since March 1st 2008.

- NHL, AHL, and ECHL team affiliates.
- North American league structures.
- Traded future NHL and OHL draft picks.
- Unfaked a lot of Swiss players.
- Set thousands of birthdates, which were still randomized in the TBN database.
- Thousands of new staff and players have been created, mostly by overwriting retired/invalid players.
- Many other leagues are partly updated, and will be completely updated in future versions.

Due to hard coded league structures, some teams are not in the same leagues as they are in real life. Two AHL teams (Lake Erie Monsters and Rockford Icehogs) have been placed in ECHL, and UHL has received a WHL team (Edmonton Oil Kings) and three dormant ECHL teams (Toledo Walleye, Colombia Inferno, and Pensacola Ice Pilots). The KHL teams Barys Astana, Khimik Voskerensk, and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod have been placed in Vysshaya league. Dinamo Riga and Dinamo Minsk remain in their national leagues. Danish Oddset League Totempo HVIK (Hvidovre) remains in the Danish First Division.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the RAR file to "\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database\"

This will place the database files in
"\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database\LidasDB1.0"

When starting a new game in EHM you will be presented with the option to choose which database to use. Select LidasDB1.0 to use the updated database and click on OK.

Great work...god knows i dont have the time to do what you did.

How will free agency work? will the players that are set to be free after this season in the real NHL be free in the game?

Thank you,

Josh

NHL contracts have been updated and so they will be free after the season in EHM if they are in real life.

Do we have to manually update the player pictures by adding two years to their birthdays?

If you go to here: http://batchrenamer.sourceforge.net/
you can download a batch renamer to replace all palyers born 1983 with 1981 etc...

Thanks! Any other years that we have to adjust? or is it just 1983 with 1981?
Thanks

It's every single year. They've all been aged by two years ;)

Massive thanks to Lidas and the research team :).

Better to use this for pictures: http://www.ghisler.com/download.htm, because it has a multi-rename function, so you can do it all in one go, by copying:

1959|1960|1961|1962|1963|1964|1965|1966|1967|1968|1969|1970|1971|1972|1973|1974|1975|1976|1977|1978|1979|1980|
1981|1982|1983|1984|1985|1986|1987|1988|1989|1990|1991|1992|1993

into the "search for" box, and:

1957|1958|1959|1960|1961|1962|1963|1964|1965|1966|1967|1968|1969|1970|1971|1972|1973|1974|1975|1976|1977|1978|
1979|1980|1981|1982|1983|1984|1985|1986|1987|1988|1989|1990|1991

into the "replace with" box.

Obviously, you're going to have to add dates pre-1959 if you have staff pictures for anyone older.

First of all, thanks soooo much

But are there plans for more accurate AHL rosters in the next release?
If not, its not the end of the world, I can always do them myself if need be.

hey guys. First off thanks so much Lidas and everyone else for all you're hard work! I can't wait to try out the update.
Unfortunately I'm having a problem and I hope someone can help. My Order ID is messed and i have sent a message to elicense to have it replace I hope, but I was hoping I could start my game out just using the demo. I have downloaded the latest patch (I think? 3.0.2) and extracted Lidas' roster to the EHM database, but when I start a new game, the default rosters are automatically used. Is this because I only have the demo installed? Or is there something else I'm missing? Any help would be awesome, I can't wait to get back into this game!! Thanks

I just realized there is a third patch :P I'll install that now and see what happens

I just made little update pack for Lidas rosters.

Update file unfakes some league names to correct ones:
Russian Superleague -> Kontinental Hockey League
United Hockey League -> International Hockey League
Czech Elite League -> Czech O2 Extraliga
Danish Oddset Ligaen -> Danish AL-Bank Ligaen
Norwegian UPC-Ligaen -> Norwegian GET-Ligaen
Finnish SM-League -> Finnish SM-Liiga
Finnish Suomi Division -> Finnish Suomi-Sarja

This update is not a roster file. Rar-file only includes language files.
Just remember to read readme to install correctly.

Nice one :)

A few changes though. Frans Nielsen of the Islanders has a one way contract and Jannik Hansen (Canucks) and Mikkel Bødtker (Coyotes) is playing in the NHL (for now anyway)
