Hello all,

For the first time I decided to play beyond 2010, and got to the 2012-2013 season, and the initial ISS rankings only had 17 players ranked, all but one were below 100 potential... in the 2012 draft it was nowhere near as deep talent-wise to the previous drafts, highest rating was a 130 something... After simming the 2012-2013 season, there were still only 17 players ranked.. And there aren't a lot of draft eligible players in general.... very few pages of players in general.

I looked at the bantam/midget leagues and there aren't any "real" players on their rosters to go on to juniors and be drafted to the nhl.

Seems like the game isn't regenerating players... Started a new game now, looks like the same problem is happening..

Has anybody else had this problem?... Thought it could be my choice of using real player names, so is this solved by faking player names?

Sean..not sure what database are you using? The original or is it one of the modification db's?

I was using the Default game DB.

Use the Lidas 2008 v1 database, I've never had issues like you're speaking of... because each year all the players that retire get regenerated, no matter what DB you're using, and there are star players all over in every DB...

But Lidas DB is the best. Yay!

I have previously tried Lidas didn't like it as much as the TBL Update ones, but I'll give it a retry forsure.. hmm... frustrating regen problem. ugh.

There should be no reason you shouldn't be getting really high quality regens...

I've got a a page and a half of 5/4 star prospects every draft since 08ish...

I'll load the Lidas DB and just sim through every season tonight until 2013 and see what happens.

... yeah what tipped me off was reading a post from a guy who had simmed to 2045 or something, and then now tonight researching this problem seeing people are at 2023 or something, and talking about 2014 or 2015 being a deep draft....

Last resort: reinstalling the game.

Eh, reinstalling the game shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Are you using good scouts? Or are these the ISS ratings?

Can you take some screen caps?

Maybe you have a filter of some sorts activated??
I've never had a problem like this in dozens of seasons, modified or standard database.

I deleted that game, so I couldn't take a screen shot, sorry, I periodically delete Franchises I've moved on from so I'm thinking I deleted that one since it was dead ending.

...And not filter... I recall specificallly thinking that, and hitting reset... only 1 - 17 were ranked... and something like 5 pages of prospects in the draft page... 2012 draft at present in the sim i'm doing to re-test... 97 pages of prospects... normal?. i recall there was a HUGE drop off in one year.. lost 10's of pages from 1 year to another... we'll see what happens in about an hour or so when the sim gets to 2013 and 2014.
