I've never heard of that before. My only suggestion would be to re-download the game.
Only re-install it after others have given their insight. Someone might know what is wrong.

Could be caused by several problems. What's the full error message?

What is your Windows version? Have you patched the game?

Patch it. It may help. Plus the game is practically unplayable without the patch.

Salut Philou,

Yeah, probably at least 75% of us are. Seriously, there shouldn't really be any problems. Have you gotten to the point where you put your license info in yet? If so, unlicense the game, then uninstall it. Download the game over again. Install it. License it. Then see what happens. Make sure you have administrator rights to that XP computer. There really shouldn't be any problems.

English please. If you wish to speak your native tongue to someone privately, you can do it in the PM's.
Wolfdog. Try googling the error message. I did a quick google search on it and found people with the same message popping up on different programs having found a virus on their puter. Removing that virus removed the problem. Other common problem was some sort of Windows error, for which there were step-by-step instructions for fixing it.

There must be something internally wrong with your computer? Check your computer for virus', malware, etc. Have you tried re-installing the game?

What operating system are you running it on? Do you have a screenshot of the error message. Sounds like an application error. I don't think it's a compatibility issue. Something is corrupt I'd imagine. Or maybe there is a conflict with an application running in the background? Try disabling everything running in the background (e.g. firewall, antivirus, etc).
Maybe this page is of some use:
