Does it keep doing it every time you load the game and try to continue past that date? Sadly, this usually means a corrupt save. I know it's a pain to do but to help determine the problem you could start a new game and have it sim to that same date and see if it happens. The other thing you could do is unlicense the game, uninstall it, delete the entire EHM 2007 folder, do a fresh install, re-patch, and then try it again. That will only help if there is an issue with your EHM itself though. Chances are it's a corrupted save and in that case you're out of luck.

Like B72 said odds are its a corrupt save. This is why its a good idea to keep multiple backups. If what he suggested does not work you can try a little trick I do. I keep 2 saved game files. After every game I save one or the other and alternate each game. I'll also save every quarter to a different file that goes on my backup hard drive. After that season ends I'll get rid of all of the quarters but the last one for that season.

Yes..It bombs every time on that day. I will try the last auto save then and see what happens.

Well..all 4 different saves were corrupted it appears.....I went all the way back to the oldest save (8/5) and they all bombed in the same place.

Well...I don't know if I have it in me to start a new game...

Check this thread http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... php?t=3700
There are some ideas how to try to solve it, but no conclusion... Maybe you'll be lucky. Let us know then.

Here is what I have tried from the thread.

1. Tried loading the last 4 weekly saves - all have the same problem if I continue on go on vacation.
2. Reinstalled the game - same issue.
3. I tried to reinstall the license, but was unable to. When I go to the license app in Control Panel, I can't do anything.

I am using 3.04. with Lidas Rosters 1.3.

If I can't fix it, how do I prevent this from happening again?

Didn't you manipulate with elicense data in registry? I did it in past when I wanted the whole game to be hidden on my computer at work and faced similar problem. I'd rather not to manipulate with it.
I'm not sure how reinstalling without unlicensing can help. Bruins72 always points out the unlicensing step, so maybe this can be the reason why you weren't successfull yet. :dunno:

I never manipulated any e-license data in the registry.

Next thing I tried was to unlicense, uninstall, reinstall, and then relicense. No luck again.

I do appreciate the help though. I am almost ready to start all over.

That's really all you can do at this point. It's just bad luck. Sometimes your save gets corrupted.

Which I guess I understand, I don't know how 4 got corrupted.

If the corruption can bite you 20+ days down the road...there isn't a lot of hope.
