Error 1305. Error reading from file C:\program files\SEGA\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2005\data\...\Tomas_Plekanec_31_10_1982.ehg. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Well, I found it, and can click on it, but the install will not go past this point no matter what I do. I am installing using the original CD from when I bought it, so there should be no problems.

I really wanted to play 2005 again to remember what it was like...can anyone help with this?

It sounds like it's having problems with a file that it has written on your C drive. Maybe you should delete whatever it's installed so far (delete C:\program files\SEGA\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2005 and all of it's contents), then run a scan disk and defrag before trying to install again. Beyond that you might be looking at some damage to your disc.

Didn't work. :(

The disc only has some minor scuffs, no deep scratches, in pretty good condition. I am thinking of finding somewhere to get it resurfaced anyway just in case that is the problem. I tried it on my desktop and it had a data1.cab error once, and after I fixed that, it had another 1305 error, but with kopecky instead of plekanec, so something in that area of the disc has to be damaged. I have kept it in a soft CD case for almost 3 years now, and the one time I take it out it doesn't work anymore.

So frustrating!
