Sen McMorrow, currently playing for Belfast Giants in the EIHL and formerly of Rochester Americans & Buffalo Sabres, has been accused of smuggling 100kgs of Marijuana across the US-Canada border between 2003 & 2005. This indictment is the result of a 5 year investigation which makes the allegations even more serious. He could spend up to 40 years in prison if found guilty

Not what British hockey needs really
Renamed this thread to use as a general purpose thread for the stupid things hockey players do off the ice. - B72

Of course he's "innocent" before court acclaims him guilty. E.g. if you get caught drunk driving, you'll be "suspect" until you're judged.

This is a little bit different to being caught drink driving, he has been accused of something which we have not seen the evidence of....

by Danny
Since that happened in 03 and 05 chances are the evidence is blown up in smoke.

On a side note, I never really understood that whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing. By being accused of something, and forcefully dragged through all the legal matters for weeks/months/years with your name possibly being tarnished all over the media and/or community... isn't that basically saying that you're guilty until this ridiculous process finds you innocent?

Too true! These days you're guilty in the court of public opinion until your innocence is proven... and even then sometimes people will still just assume that you're guilty and got away with it. For example, look at Ben Rothlisberger (sp?) of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's been accused of sexual assault by some girl he apparently fooled around with at some bar down south. His reputation is already tarnished even if the sex was consensual and she just regretted it later (or maybe accused him for payoff money or "fame").

So there is a Slovenian Hockey League team that had 6 players beat up their coach after winning the championship. I guess the coach is something of an idiot.

Trivino is an Islanders 2nd round pick from '08 and his 'Puckstar' homeboy Saponari was drafted by the Thrashers that same year. Quite the partyboys.

Wow.
This guy is such an idiot
He has been trying to be Don Cherry on Hockey Night in Canada, but he is too dang stupid to do it. And that is saying alot since Don is not exactly brilliant. He was a horrible GM, horrible announcer, dirty player....and now... he shows his colors.
He should have his arse canned just like Baraboneheady.

Typical Bruin.
Calmly awaits the shredding from our resident Bruins fans....Archi, B72 (twins and work make life crazy...almost miss him

) and of course the one guy here who somehow has a search on the site for the word "BRUINS" and is here posting about how wonderful they are as soon as he sees it. But never at any other time, save when the Bruins are winning, or when they are being disciplined or when *gasp* a penalty is called on one of their Milbury like clones.

Almost. Not quite totally though. Right?
Milbury has always been a bit of an idiot. I'm surprised he didn't beat the kid with a shoe.
Want to hear an even crazier hockey story? This one isn't from a pro league. It's from a rec league.

Heh. Good to see something from you. Hope all is well.....How are the twins?
ANyway....I saw that story awhile back. Juvenile. Completely. But does not shock me at all. Beer leaguers do the dumbest things both on and off the ice.

The twins are sick and so are the wife and I. Other than that, they're doing great. They've got their 2nd birthday coming up 2 days before Christmas. Fun stuff!
