EHM The Blue Line

First, this is not another post crying over low pp-stats (even though I have problems with that, too... ).

Anyway, I'm new here. I've tried searching both the web and this forum but not found anything to help me.

The problem is this: I have set my powerplay to Umbrella, and this seems fine. In the tactics screen before matches, everything looks good. But when reviewing the tactics during a match I find that even though it says "umbrella" in the drop down menu, the actual positions of the players are in Funnel-mode! So I change to whatever, and change it back to Umbrella and the players seems to be in the correct positions. They however revert to Funnel-positions within a shift or two.

What's going on? Are my coaches secretly brainwashing my players to play Funnel?


I'm on EHM 2007, patch 3.04 and standard database; i.e. no Lidas, unfake, etc. (An no, not on Vista nor Mac.)

Normally, I'd agree with you, axwel. This case appears to be a bit different though. This isn't asking a question about what tactics to use. He seems to be talking about some sort of glitch where the computer starts ignoring his tactics mid-game.

Sorry I don't have a solution, but I've had the same thing happen to me multiple times. Very frustrating.

Luckily (sort of), I don't know how to use Umbrella correctly, lol

Yes, I am NOT asking for advice on tactics, I want to figure that out for myself. I thought I was clear on that, but I guess I could've been clearer. The question does regard a glitch, which seems to have happened to others:

I guess I'll have to adjust to Funnel and get myself some powerforwards to muscle in the pucks...

Oh, sorry, this time I read the whole post. First time I just read that he had a problem with his PP tactic.

Anybody knows why this happens?
