Can't delete Database

Uninstalled/Deleted all of EHM content, then reinstalled and started to use Pre-Game Editor to create a player. Now I have 2 of the same player whenever I start a new game in EHM 07.

I've Uninstalled EHM a few times now, I've deleted all EHM Folders (Database) including folders in My Documents and hidden folders in App Data.

I'm using Windows 7 and I can't seem to start from scratch with a new database, everytime I reinstall and start a new game my created players are always there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the patch 3.0.4, don't you? ;)
Are your previously created players doubled in Pre-Game editor as well or only in the game?

What's the path that you are deleting? I'm wondering if maybe you're deleting your saved game folder in My Documents but not the entire "C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\" folder. If you have uninstalled EHM and deleted this folder, there is no way possible that you're still going to get your created players.

Also, as McQwak mentioned, you should install the patch for 3.0.4 and edit a copy of the original database. That would prevent you from ever having some of these problems.

I have a similar problem. I did some stupid test editing of the database and tried to copy an older one into the game database's place. Unfortunately this was a huge mistake.

What happened is that whenever I try to load the database in the editor it shows me a locked index.dat file which is a file that has already been deleted and the trash can has been emptied after that. This index.dat file is still there whenever I try to open the editor. To make matters worse it's not the same file in the folder if I use Explorer to check... :dunno:

I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, removed all the folders I could think of but after reinstalling the file is still there...

Also, it is possible to start the game with 3.0.2 but as soon as I update to 3.0.4 I can't even start the game. I get a fatal error during start up about "league screen" which may be related to the name of All-American League 4 in the database I tried to delete many times.

I forgot to say that I have just installed Windows 7 and had XP before that. So far, I'm unimpressed.

I may have the solution and that is to run everything, including editor and the game, explicitly as administrator. That didn't happen even though I'm logged into an account with admin rights. Please explain that Bill...

If anyone could provide some insights I'm grateful.
