EHM The Blue Line

Is there any particular reason why I can't sign players to offer sheets? I have a championship team and am offering the likes of Crosby, Phaneuf, etc. 5-6 mill/year, but they end up declining for 1-2 mill/year contracts with their old team. Any thoughts/help?

i think this is because of their property: loyality, so they want to stay at their old club; or because they like the team, it´s their "wish-team"
