Coaches influence - cumulative or averaged?

in EHM 2007, I've often wondered if coaches' influences are cumulative or averaged.
Let's say there are 3 assistant coaches on a team with determination attribute (out of 100) 60, 70, and 80.
The total (cumulative) is 210 (60 + 70 + 80) and the average is 70 (60 + 70 + 80/3).
If there's a new assistant coach (coach number 4) with determination attribute of 50 is this good or bad?
If the effect is cumulative then the total determination influence is now increased to 260 (210 + 50). That's good.
But if the effect is averaged then the average is decreased (50 + 60 + 70 + 80/4) to 65. That's a decrease from the previous average of 70. That's bad.
This would apply to other attributes such as motivation, discipline, coaching defense etc.
Does anyone know whether it's cumulative or averaged?
Thanks.
