Dwindling attendance

Hey can anyone suggest anything to give attendance a boost? The last few games have all been record lows...I'm winning my fair share of games (19-10-1) and am in the top ten for goals per game and total goals for (I'm working under the assumption that "fans" want to see high scoring games...). Even against a divisional rival, I get record low attendance. Is there anything I can do to remedy this or is this just something that kinda happens?

From my experience, there's not much you can do. The things that help are winning and acquiring star players. Both of those are only temporary unless you play with some team like Montreal who can suck for decades and the fans still fill up the stands :p

That's how it looks like in my game anyway heh

As you build your team try getting players with high flair attributes. Fans love those kinds of players.

I think, it's old 'problem' with all SI games. Just take a quick look at SI forums. There are many cases in FM, that someone took one team two, or three divisons up, and still didn't improve attendance number.

This is the area of the game that needs little improvement for the next version, I think.

Bumpity Bump Bump... Did this ever get addressed in a patch? Even with players like Ovechkin, Sundin, Cheechoo... I'm getting lowish attendance, I thought winning would help but right now I'm 12 points ahead in the division, 5 points ahead in the conference, heading into the stretch. The only times I sell out is in the playoffs. My average this year is 15,194 in an arena that seats 18,672. I have not had a single sellout. The only teams with worse attendance are the Islanders and Blues.

I always have rubbish attendances, im in 2013, and i have never had a decent average, people say you can improve it by winning games, 2 stanley cups, 1 presidents trophy and 4 time stanley cup finalists, what more can i win :dunno:

It depends not only on winning, but also on the fan support.

However, attendance might be a weakness of the game, but it's was certainly not on the top of the devellopers to-do list, as it has a minor impact, if one, on the gameplay. ;)

The biggest thing is the really did a poor job of setting the fan support, average attendance and other club stats like that.

When you get media questions, the way you answer also helps get people coming depending on how you answer.

I also remember reading something about if you let your roster stagnate then the fans will be less interested. Making a big trade may be able to help. But I have no proof to back this one up, it is something I read a long time ago.

Certainly near the bottom of there list, shame because that's how teams generate there money (mainly), when i first took the job i was disliked by the fans, because i had no experience, i set my stats to make it though it was my first job, handling the media is easy enough, theres only 3 options, and saying a bad player is playing good is obviously gonna cause concern, and vice versa
