Scouting in the NHL vs QMJHL

I've never been a hardcore player of EHM, but i sure spent many hours on it. I almost always play with an NHL team and when I scout players for the upcoming draft, it's quite easy to spot good players because of the 0 to 5 stars system in scouts reports. But, when i want to play with a QMJHL team, mostly the Quebec Remparts, almost every players that are available in drafts get 5 stars in my reports. Since I assume good drafting is the best way to go in a CHL game, how can I spot the best players?

That's a solid question.
I play a lot in the CHL myself and I usually draft guys that have solid physical (skating, stamina etc) and mental (anticipation, work rate) attributes, so they can contribute right away.
Also pay close attention to the report card in the scouting report, and read the reports more in-depth and don't mind the star ratings. Plus, consistency is something I look for.

Also you can draft a bit more role-based, I find. Don't hesitate to draft a D-man with poor passing and shooting if he's very good in his own zone. That's something you'd probably avoid in the NHL, though.

Vikke has great suggestions!

One thing I really look at is the mental attributes that are described in the detailed scouting report. I look for positive things like ambitious, determined, etc., and stay away from negative ones like unambitious, poor self confidence, fickle, spineless, and so on. The other thing I aim for is size, ie weight. The key to the Canadian Junior leagues is to draft players that you will try and keep for their whole playing career with you. A lot of the time some of their attributes look horrible, but after one or two seasons they start to look good.

I don't. It's on the Info or whatever screen it is.

I am not sure MKoivuFan is playing with the Lidas rosters. The consistency is only showing if you're in Debug mode in the Extra Config File. If you're not in debug mode, only regens will show consistency
