EHM The Blue Line

My Ass't GM has very high 80s for player ability and potential, which is why I hired him to advise on trades and the team. Well this guy (Dirk Graham) must be drinking too much! I will go after a player like Andrew Ladd and offer some picks and a player or two of average quality and Graham will say " I really don't like this trade". But then I will be offered 3 below average, AHL, 30+ players for someone like Spezza and idiot will say "I really like this trade".

Does the game have a bug when it comes to trade advice or something?

A rule of EHM. Never care of those comments. Sometimes if the AI think your first round pick is the most important ever, if you put it in a trade to get a nice prospect that will be better than the player you'll draft with your pick, he will keep saying the deal suck. Same thing if you put a nobody prospect but your guy think he will be Crosby. The rating system kinda suck in EHM with the AI. Your judgement is way better.

Yeah, that is what I came to think too, but wanted to confirm. In this case it was Sheppard for Ladd; Shep. was sucking and developing like rubbish, really not fitting my style of team at all but no matter what trade I thought up for Ladd, including Shep, the A.G.M said it sucked. Did the trade anyway, Shep plus a 5-6 AHL d'man and a 3rd for Ladd and my team has taken off since. And Shep. is playing better now that he is on the other team too.
