EHM The Blue Line

Hmmm I wonder if anyone can explain this one.......

I've recently DL some of the Skins, Skin Elements, Logo's & Lidas Rosters 2010/11 v3.1 and they all work fine, so next I thought id like the profile pictures (as the default ones didnt seem to work)

So I Downloaded the player pictures from here -> http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 76&t=6629I (As I didnt want the trading card look & it was the most recent (full) profile picture file i could find) & copied the folder across, I'd already read all about the game accepting file formats in EHG, PNG & JPG...but still they wouldnt work!,

This was really annoying me as I was in the right directory, I happened upon another forum explaining the format, profile pictures need to be in...Eg (1st Name_Surname_31_5_1984) In order to work, while trying to "google" an aswer to my problem.

This got me thinking again as i couldnt explain why on earth they were not showing/loading in game. On investigation, I noticed while focusing on 1 player (Corey Crawford) that the game database (Lindas v3.1) has his D.o.B as 31/01/1980 when his actual D.o.B is 31/01/1984, i thought this might just be a single incident so i checked Tim Thomas & Ryan Geztlaf & they were also 4yrs older in the game than in real life?...Ofc as soon as i change the crawford file to Corey_Crawford_31_01_1980 & reloaded my saved game up it came.

So why would my/the database be 4yrs out on D.o.B's?

Any explainations?

EHM is locked at a 2006 start date, so roster updates need to fake player birth dates in order to get them to the proper age. Otherwise, a prospect who is playing at 18 this season, and thus in the updated roster, would actually be 13 in the game if his birth date wasn't changed.

I didnt know that, thanks very much for explaining, I only recently found EHM...I can now give my brain a rest & get on with Changing some file D.o.B's.............i have thought about doing my own profile pics (bit of a wiz with photoshop) but thats some work to do just the NHL

I'm not quite sure where it is, or if it works, but I believe we have a tool around here somewhere that edits these facepack filenames for you.

Before you fry your brain with all that editing, hopefully Archi, or another mod/admin could shed some light on where that is.

Started my own "action" type profile pics just a simple action pic from web with Number #?? (top left) and player name (along the bottom) both with Black Stroke & Drop Shadow using photoshop CS...done 12 hawks players but took about 1hr 30 say...could take some time to do whole NHL...lol
