AI GM's are out of their mind! Worst Trade offers

Not sure if this can't be merged somewhere else but otherwise I figured I post this.
At the trade deadline Jeff Carter was gaining a ton of interest. Now I don't necessarily need Carter on my team but I figured since every team in the league was throwing picks and prospects at the Flyers, I would at least inquire about him. So I sent in a bid to the Flyers to see what they were interested in.
They send me back an offer and they want:
Sidney Crosby, The rights to Adam Larsson, a 1st round pick, a 3rd round pick, a 3rd round pick in next years draft and a 4th round pick in next years draft
for
Jeff Carter
What are they freaking kidding me??? Talk about trying to rip me off? Anyone else get ridiculous offers?

It's often like that, especially with players like Carter. You should have post that in the Funny/weird/cool screenshots thread despite you don't have a screenshot.

Better this extreme than them giving him away for a 2nd which is something you see a lot from the AI around deadline time.

I just had the Flyers give me M. Richards, A. Picard and a 3rd for Bobby Ryan. I didn't even approach them for the trade and Ryan is still only 19 since I'm using 06-07 rosters. Funnier than that though was what the Red Wings asked for when I inquired about Datsyuk, they wanted me to give up Perry, Getzlaf and a 3rd and 4th. Probably the quickest I ever hit the reject button.

Nothing annoys me more than playing a challenge and trying desperately to get a first line player like Carter to the poitn where I offer my best young player, only to see them trade him for a 2nd and a 4th from the first place team.

I had Vancouver offer me a 1st for Colby Armstrong!!! I took it, it only wound it being 29th overall or something, but that's the easiest first round pick I ever traded for!!!

Yeah usually if you just ask about a star player, a CPU GM will ask for something ridiculous in return.

Just traded Vincour for Schenn in the Challenge, got the News Items about my fans loving the steal afterwards. I actually delayed the deal so my Scouts could scout him just to make sure that he hadn't genned into a rubbish player or something because I could hardly believe the trade.

Haha, I just turn around and counter for something equally ridiculous when they do that to me.
I took advantage of poor ol' Brian Burke last night and traded him Colorado's 6th overall pick with a 3rd rounder and Ville Nieminen for his 3rd overall which I used to draft Stamkos. Normally I wouldn't make unrealistic trades but the thought of Stamkos wasting his career with the Leafs was too much to bare, plus Burke would make a stupid trade like that anyway.

I sent an inuiry about Erik Johnson to the Colorado Avalanche, I figured why not? The proposal I got in return?
Erik Johnson
for
Henrik Lundqvist, 2008 4th, 2008 5th.
I laughed and countered with Avery and a 6th for Duchene and Johnson.

This one made me burst into laughter this morning. I tried to trade S. Niedermayer for Cammalleri which is a fair offer, Niedermayer is 34 and has captained my team to two cups while winning another Norris and the Conn Smythe. They countered with this:
Cammalleri
2009 4th rounder (Kings)
2009 4th rounder (Predators)
For
Getzlaf
The rights to Stamkos
2009 6th rounder
Pathetic.

This one is not ridiculous so much as it strange. Newest database, early in the second offseason (just after the draft or thereabouts)...
Phoenix comes up out of no where and offers...
4th round pick for the rights to Kyle Klubertanz
Now if you're looking through your script at home and don't see Kyle Klubertanz, I don't blame you. He's a 27 year old prospect with a lot of very average ratings playing very average hockey in the DEL (I believe at the time he was there). I never had any intention of even considering bringing him over, I never even sent a scout to see him. Again, not ridiculous, but why did Phoenix feel the need to have to have this loser?
I'm used to getting the "3rd, 3rd, 4th and a minor leaguer" for Cam Fowler type deals, not anything like this...

Malkin (contracted for next year)
for
2nd rounder
Pens also traded away Fleury and Crosby in stupid trades. For Crosby they also already cheated with the salary bug earlier so he signed a contract for five years at 3 000 000/year. They went from powerhouse to AHL-team in one season and really widdled me off as Minny is way too overpowered at the moment because of them.

I'm playing As The Oilers And I Traded My 7th Round Pick And The Rights To Andrew Cogliano and Oliver Roy For Martin St. Louis And The Rights To Steven Stamkos And Matt Smaby And Dustin Tokarski
Stupid AI St. Louis And Stammer Is Better Than Cog And I Like Tokarski And Smaby's A Decent #7 Defense Man

I'm not going to create a new thread for that because I think it's a part of trades in-game.
Teams who overrate/underrate players.
In my game, the Habs draft a guy #25 in the first round. Three days later they trade him away for Dennis Wideman.....I mean, how you lost a first pick just like that? Teams should have a more conservative attitude towards their prospects, especially the first year they drafted them at least! It's not like Wideman was Crosby or something.

Problem is, that's actually realistic. There are GM's in real life that draft and guy and then immediately flip him. He's just another asset to them.
And then you have GM's like Ken Holland who will trade his 1st pick, but once that pick has been made and an actual name and face put to it he almost never moves the kid.

I had been trying to trade for Pacioretty lots in this Tampa challenge, constantly checking in on them to see if they might budge but were always very strict. Then yup, they trade him t his offseason for a second round pick and poop prospect. Ugh

Honestly, when was the last time a draft pick was flipped within a week of being drafted in the NHL? I am not sure so have to ask as Primis is saying it does happen.

Some GMs who have been dump in the past doesn't mean it's realistic. Since I follow hockey I don't think I ever saw that, especially within 3 days of the draft. If it was a trade for Crosby I could understand but for Dennis Wideman? Come on.

You think trading a 25th overall pick for Crosby is realistic?
