Can't get backgrounds logos to work?

I've downloaded a couple of backgrounds i want to use but they don't seem to work i extract the files to data\skins and i have tried extracting them to data\pictures\backgrounds and when i go to preferences i still only get 2 options traditional or colourblind. Also cannot get player logos to show

Traditional/colourblind are skins. The preferences setting is for selecting skins and not for selecting backgrounds.

Ok i have extracted backgrounds to data\pictures\backgrounds\club\National Hockey League
But how do i actually change the background?, the only option i can see is selecting the skins?

That's not how it works. The backgrounds will appear when you view the different team rosters in EHM.
The backgrounds don't just rotate during the game; they're team/league specific.
