Anything on the league customizing front?

I know that someone posted something on TBN (maybe archi) about being able to change the number of teams in a league, but it may take a year to take place.
As the game gets outdated and league rules and league sizes get more and more inaccurate, I was wondering where we now are on the modification front? Whether these things are at all possible, already done, or could be done in the future...
-- Can we change the number of GMs that can be in one save game?
-- Can we change the lineup rules for leagues? (players on roster, players scratched, etc)
-- Can we change the number of teams in a league?
-- Can we change league rules? (make a euro league have NA-style trading, not such strict fighting penalties like some leagues have)
-- Can we change the number of games in a season?
As I understand it, a lot of these things had been hex edits when I last looked into them, so we can't pick whatever we want, but maybe substitute the rules in from another league...

Can we change the number of GMs that can be in one save game?
It hasn't been tried. It would be a case of using ArtMoney and trying to find where the GM limit is located. As with finding how to modify the start date, it needs a great deal of trial and error.

Yes, we've been able to change quite a lot. A reasonably comprehensive list is here:

Alessandro and Hobbit13 have been able to change a little bit more too. Take a look at their League Patch:

Can we change the number of teams in a league? & Can we change the number of games in a season?
Yes we can. However, you must also change the schedule as well as the number of teams in a league. This effectively limits you to using one of the existing league sizes and schedules.
It is possible to change the league size to whichever number you want, but you'll run into difficulties because one of the existing schedules must match. It might be possible to modify the schedule by directly editing the saved game (Lazion has certainly managed this) and so this might make it possible to allow any league size.
If you read through the entirety of this thread then you'll get an idea of what can be done thus far:

As mentioned above, we can modify much of what we want on out own terms. It's just the league sizes that have to be substituted at the moment - but if we can figure out the schedules then it will be possible to modify the league sizes as we want.

Is this for 2007, 2005 or both?
Does this mean you can change the AHL to 30 teams, 6 division format using NHL style schedule?

2007. Although I would expect that doing the same to 2005 wouldn't be all that different at all.

Theoretically, but I'm not sure anybody has achieved it. Basically, all that has been achieved is what is detailed in that thread I mentioned. I think Lazion got somewhere with the AHL, but I'm not sure quite how far.
