Prevent NHL from stealing players

Hey

Lets say you are playing with a european team and have a junior kid who is really good, and you want to keep him but as soon as he get drafted the NHL team are gonna offer him a contract. You can always become GM of the NHL team and cancel the transition, but they will keep trying as soon as you leave and you will end up doing it over and over again.

I find it very hard to sign good players without the NHL clause in their contract. So, how do you prevent the whole thing from happening? Is it possible?

With the pre-game editor you can change their reputation so they are more likely to stay. Lower world rep, and higher home rep. Also, Higher value in loyalty might help.
There is however nothing to do in-game, I'm afraid.

Why isnt it possible to " overpay " the NHL when you´re playing the Russian League? I can give a player 29 Million in payment and he rather take NHL and 8 Million ? Sure, everyone isnt playing for money, but some are Money whores!
