Does anyone know any discount codes as i used to have the cd but have lost it so i guess i have to buy it again but 30 EUROS is steep for such a old game.
The only reason i am buying it is because of the fantastic Lidas updates that i have tryed out on my demo version!!!!!
regardless of the price, I have played this game for more than 500 hours over the 4 years that I have owned it. Either I have no life or the game is just amazing. You are guaranteed a different game every time you play. You can't beat it.
Ah I was going to ask the same thing. The price is above average for a new PC game let alone a game that is 4 years out of date(to put it into perspective FM2011 is probably going to retail around 25 Euros, and that's a boxed retail game not a download only).
Shame really that SI are hopeless at marketing as it could have been a huge hit.
I'm surprised they don't put this game on a platform such as Steam, where they could probably sell a ton of copies for ~$10 each. Add in promo prices, etc. and I guarantee they would sell many more copies than they do now.
I suspect their agreement with eLicence would prohibit this, but a visible platform such as Steam might actually generate enough sales to resurrect the series. It's a different landscape these days for digital distribution than it was in 2006.

Totally agree with you. It really is a shame that they all but abandoned this game and the series. It is the only text sim I still play religiously, and I own a bunch of them across various sports.
