Because goals scored in the shootout do not count towards a player's official stats.

We really need to something about the owner of Kent Mighty Turnips. He has not touched his lineup for over 2 weeks. Nothing. At all....Jaroslaw whoever is completely inactive. He has too many assets to be 0-4, and doing nothing. Please can we get someone to take over his team from the Octavian league and boot his butt to high heaven or something.

Yeah, I PMed him last week sometime, but I haven't heard back. So I think it's fair we find a replacement. In fact I'll do that right now while we're talking about it.

Black Ice are looking to make a blockbuster deal. Only non availables are Carter and Luongo. Make an offer, but realize please that to give up Iggy,Marleau, Lidstrom or Visnovsky going to need at least equal calibre back. Anyone who dares offer some 2nd or 3rd liner for one of those guys gets shot. Bourque would also take a significant amount. No Vanek please. :-D

I'm pleased to announce that VisualDarkness has been hired as the new GM of Kent Mighty Turnips!

VisualDarkness started this season in the Octavian Hockey League, and has been very active in managing his team.

Too bad my new team stinks big time in comparison to my OHL one!
Why can't I just transfer that one? I would be soo much easier.

Everyone who got a starting goaltender they could ship should contact me, I need one badly!

Do you have any interest in Antti Niemi? If so, he's available.

Congratulations, visualdarkness.
MHL is much deeper than OHL. Don't expect to have 3 starting goaltenders here. Your team in OHL was really stuffed with superb players. That's something GM can't achieve here.
Good luck :-D

Edit: just curious: KENT team was allowed to acquire 8 players last week?

Welcome aboard Mr Visual Darkness. Best of luck. And....just an FYI..have a look at your trade offers, and lets see if we can make your team as awesome as the one you had in OHL.... :-D

He didn't. The last five was for this week as the games had already started

Yeah, I timed the new week perfectly and therefore it almost felt like I could make 14 changes! 8-)

Out of acquisition slots...again. :(
At least I picked up a third starter in Gustavsson as Giguere got injured. 8-)

That was nice pick. I planned to pick him and drop Khabibulin, but when I got to work today, you have already picked him

Haha, was watching him since Giguere left the ice and took him when I heard one week or two. Surprised that no-one were quicker. :dunno:
Khabi at least faces loads of shots but don't count on getting a win. Oilers are struggling big time and that made the choice of dropping Dubs really easy. :joy:

Hello gentlemen,

Iginla may be available for the right price. need a scoring winger for him. Preferably a LW, but would take a RW if the deal worked out right.

Guys offers of 2nd line LW and 3rd line C/LW are not going to get you Iginla.

You are going to have to give something of worth up for him. He started slow last season too, and then went bananas....so you tell me.

To get Iggy you need a 1st line LW, and an upgrade in another position. I will include Seabrook for a dman.

What you need to recall about Jerome is he fights, he scores, he shoots...he does a ton. So a run of the mill 2nd liner (even if present day shot count is similar is not really going to work.

You all know Jerome will pick it up...and if he gets dealt to LA....wow.

So..offer needs to be something.

A deal like this might work:

1st line LW with PP time who may not be as traditionally strong as Jerome in PIM or goals.
PP Defenseman
2nd line RW

Iginla
Robidas or Seabrook
Boyes

So lets step things up here. You want Iginla, you gotta give something up.

Sure, I lowballed you with my offer od Raymond straight up but if you think you can get what you countered with, good luck!
I don't think there is such a stupid GM in this league that you seem to believe. Try making me an offer we both gain upon and maybe I will stop sending you stupid trade requests

Yeah, don't expect Semin for struggling Iginla. Do you want to get rid of him? Ok, then be prepared to recieve less than keeper level player.
I don't think you'll be able to strengthen your team with your approach. Manimal is right.

Ah, Joehelmer was exception :-p

Wow guys. You should know how I work by now. I don't make deals to "get rid" of a guy. I make deals that are workable for both parties, and you have to put some thought into. You can be all peeved that I ask too much if you wish, but you know as well as I do (At least Manimal does) that I will make a good hockey deal if it is there.

What I find interesting McQwak is you complain about me asking for Semin---But you were the one who started the trade offer...and who did you offer me? Umm..Cough Fleischman Cough

Manimal--IT was not the Raymond offer that made my comment above...it was McQwak's ridiculous offer of FLeishmann. A 2nd line centre, when I had clearly stated LW or RW scoring needed in the deal. My C position is solid with Marleau, Carter, Ribeiro.

Your offer Manimal my friend was at least worthy of a few seconds thought...Tomas Fleischmann straight up for Iginla though? Noone would make that deal or even think about it.

MCqwak lowballed me to garbage. I offered you a traditional and inconsistent all star for a never once been an all star inconsistent player, and threw more at you for less in other areas. Yeah, I lowballed you...your offer (and more importantly your attempt to sucker me with telling me Fleischman has the potential to be the #1C in Washington in your notes-hahahahahah) was insulting. Actually I see now Tomas is a RW...a healthy scratch RW...wow. Some potential.

Manimal--Yep I negotiated more, and yeah high offer...but I was shocked you gave up so fast. We usually work better on deals.

Because I say I am willing to trade Iggy...people think I will give him up for a bucket of pucks? What the hell? Wake up guys. I offer him up...but it has to be a good deal for both of us. Same as the one you and I made last season Manimal (interestingly I believe Brown was involved in that too)

Apparently though people only look at one name in each deal and slam it shut. Too bad. That is not a hockey deal.

:-D
